A teammate of mine ported patches from upstream kernel to add Skylake
audio support to Debian kernel. We would like to know what is the
process to propose patches for inclusion in Debian kernel. Do we have to
submit the patches to Canonical Kernel Team?

Removing the file and restarting didn't have any effect: alsamixer still
segfault and I've still no sound. I'm pretty sure alsamixer was working
a few days ago.
