Hi,
a colleague observed crashes in some heavily multi-threaded Python
applications. He is running Debian sarge with stock kernel
2.6.8-2-686. Using LD_ASSUME_KERNEL "fixes" the crash, so it seems
to be an NPTL issue. (Maybe stupid) questions:
- Is it relevant, whether Python is compiled on a
I installed with a netinst CD 20050218, but failed with linux26,
as the kernel did not recognise the CD drive. 2.4 did work, but
changing the system from 2.4 to 2.6 with SATA is tedious (both
/etc/fstab and /boot/grub/menu.lst have to changed manually and
making an error can lead to an unbootable
