Upgrade from Etch to Lenny. The computer has an IDE tape attached to
hdd (slave). The cdrom is at hdc (master). It all worked fine under
2.6.18.
Under 2.6.26 ide-tape hangs during boot at:

I upgraded to etchnhalf and the machine started hanging on reboot. I
also tested with 2.6.24-1-686 and 2.6.25-2-686 with the same results.
Booting with "reboot=b" works around the problem.

So far there have been no discussions. There was a somewhat similar
problem reported years ago, which I don't think was fully investigated:

Please, let me know if there is any additional info to extract when I
manage to reproduce this problem again. I ran ksymoops, but it didn't
generate more meaningful information than what was already in syslog (is
it supposed to decode the stack trace ?)
