I have the same problem, i have notebook samsung np530, and the fix was
change kernel's version from 3.2 to 3.5
There are a "apt-get install " for it!!
after i change to kernel
quantal
the problem doesn't appear any more!!!

I have the same problem, and i think found the solution:
sudo apt-get install linux-generic-lts-quantal
It upgrade the kernel to 3.5, without upgrade the distro
Mi computer is:
Samsung Np530, with Intel HD 4000 (ivy Bridge)
Linux Mint 13, works with ubuntu 12.04 also
