After I restart my system software suspend all USB devices stopped to
work. They are not even powered any more. What helps is to plug in some
device, the whole USB system recovers.

ubunut linux installed. lsusb blocks too.
It's a VIA VT82xx according to lspci. Some other usbstick works
flawless in this system.

im using pptp to dial in to my ISP, and when trying to stop pptp I get
the following message: unregister_netdevice: waitng for ppp0 to become
free. Usage count = 2; this message floods my dmesg, ifconfig ppp0 hangs
