Just tried the new linux-image-2.6.32-5-686_2.6.32-31_i386 available
as "proposed-update" and the reboot when resuming from hibernate issue
*seems* gone on my MSI Wind U100. I tried several hibernate/restore
sycles, both on AC and battery power and had no failures.

Looks like the same as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=611750
It also affected my netbook, not an eeepc, but using intel i915 also.
Workaround: downgrade kernel to linux-image-2.6.32-5-686_2.6.32-29_i386
You can find it here: http://snapshot.debian.org

Tried downgrading kernel of my MSI Wind U100 from
linux-image-2.6.32-5-686_2.6.32-30_i386 to
linux-image-2.6.32-5-686_2.6.32-29_i386 (from -30 to -29) and this
seems to make resume from hibernate work reliably.
Got the older kernel from

I tried few combination of options for the i915 module and enabling
powersave seems to improve resuming from hibernate.
Try modifying conf file:
/etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf
From:
options i915 modeset=1
To:
options i915 modeset=1 powersave=1
It might be just a side-effect of the module doing th
Tried Sebastian custom kernel [0] on my MSI Wind U100 and
unfortunately the issue of rebooting when resuming after hibernate is
still happening.
