Debian bug can now be closed as I guess things should be all
good once Linux 5.5 enters unstable.
Thanks,
David

Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Since upgrading to Linux 5.3, I am seeing a power usage regression.
With Linux 5.2, powertop reported an idle battery discharge rate of
between 3 and 4 W and CPU package states seemed normal (majority of time
spent in pc7).
I found the problem.
5.2.7-1 had
# CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_DEFAULT_ON is not set
5.2.9-1 had
CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_DEFAULT_ON=y
5.2.9-2 has
# CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_DEFAULT_ON is not set
CONFIG_INTEL_IOMMU_DEFAULT_ON_INTGPU_OFF=y
Only 5.2.7-1 boots on my system.
I can successfully boot 5.2
e to start (other
than a diff of /boot/config-5.2.0-2-amd64 and /boot/config-5.0.0-trunk-amd64).

Suspend to RAM has been working (from gnome) on previous kernels
(2.6.26, 2.6.28) but no longer works with 2.6.29.
Sometimes it will suspend and resume once ok, but never twice. And
mostly not even once. There is some stuff dum
ll a bug somewhere?
I'll leave it up to you if you want to leave this bug open or not.
cheers

Resuming from a suspend to RAM has not worked since 2.6.16-1 for my

It comes up again ok in all respects (I think), except the screen
remains off. It worked perfectly from either X or con
s shouldn't crash and die under this senario,
though? Is this the srt of thing that the kerne should handle ore
elegantly? Or is it bugs with the dvd players?
