Hello:
I have a patch for the 2.6.17 kernel sources that I got from the
unstable
release; this patch is for the Intel e1000 network device driver.
The source for this patch is on the upstream source for the e1000 driver
at e1000.sourceforge.net.
This is a patch of about 15000 lines.

Folks
There is a white paper available for installing Debian Sarge on an Intel
945 system. It is available from the wiki at wiki.debian.org; go to the
install help section and look toward the bottom. There are two white
papers; one is for the D945.
If that fails, the 945 white paper is hosted tem
This appears that you may need to include
the HDLC module.
This is part of the WAN group of modules.

Hey everyone

I would like to bring to your attention the desire for Debian
to support SATA ATAPI CD Drives.
In case you are not aware, the 2.6.15 kernel from www.kernel.org
does support SATA ATAPI CD Drives.
However, that support is disabled
I ended up editing the drivers/scsi/libata-core.c and changing

Hello:
I would like to make a suggestion regarding the configuration of
any kernel that is of revision 2.6.15 or greater.

Currently, the 2.6.15 general kernel from www.ke
I am a little confused. Is experimental the first distro that anything
goes into in order to get into Debian?
I thought that Unstable is the place where Debian downloads new changes

Folks:
I have been recently put into a position where I might need
to add and/or change device drivers in the kernel.
I have some questions about protocol and preferences within
the Debian community.
First of all, I do understand that anything I submit to be
added to Debian must be covered by t

I don't see the ALSA driver setting. Are we planning to have that
set to at least 'm'?
Also, what about the AGP and DRM (for graphics)? I am particularly
interested in CONFIG_DRM_I810, CONFIG_DRM_I830, CONFIG_DRM_I915,
CONFIG_DRM, CONFIG_AG
Hello:
Does anyone know what the plans are for 2.6.13, which is now available
from www.kernel.org? I notice that unstable (sid) is still at 2.6.12.
I have just subscribed to this email list; I apologize if this question
was repeated recently.
Thank you
