I have 2 WDC WD30EFRX-68E HDDs, one is connected 'normally' via SATA
cables, the other one is build into a USB enclosure and uses UAS.
The drives have the exact same same characteristic

Yup, tried with linux-image-5.17.0-1-686_5.17.3-1_i386.deb a few moments

For some reason, part of the firmware with Debian 5.17 is not loaded
during boot. Manually loading the firmware fixes the problem and
everything works again. I have absolutely no idea why.
