I see the latest version of nfs-utils source code (2.4.3) is so
far away from debian packaged (1.3.4).
What is the problem? who know why the package is not growing up
to the latest version?

Sorry for this misleading report. The problem lay elsewhere and had no
direct relationship to initramfs-tools.
