There are several changes in the 4.9-stable branch which I don't think
we can take without changes to the kernel module ABI that will affect
out-of-tree modules. This would mean an ABI bump, changing the names
of all linux-image and linux-headers packages.

This kernel fails to boot on a Olimex A20 board.
The HDMI output just runs black. I tried to use netconsole but it's in too

Yep, this look like it, and Ming Lei is putting out a version 2 as we speak
(per his last message; the messages are from Aug 31 and Sept 1)

CPU fan runs 24/7 and never shut off.
If I connect my USB hub and it's three USB tuners, boot fails 8 out of
ten times.
It goes into some type of race condition, blank screen and CPU fan
running at full speed.
