regarding drivers: Sense Key Medium Error in 8.1 n
I am no longer running into this issue for some time now. Checking two
media that failed earlier confirms the error is gone.
Actually, Jessie has bumped two point versions since the bug report:
$ cat /etc/debian_version
8.3
Moreover I am running kernel from backports:
$ uname -a
Linux [...] 4.3.0
