This bug might also be good to have marked important, as it makes the
kernel nearly unusable in some cases, and it is a fairly big bug. I also
would say it is probably upstream, although that can't be said for certain
at this point, I don't think.

I made a local backport of 4.4 in experimental for jessie and can
confirm that the regression on the Dell Latitude E5500 is fixed in 4.4.

that ARCH_HISI is not (yet) activated on linux.
Please enable it so we can add HiKey support to Debian.
