my system regularly hangs (like once a day or once every two days).
Using netconsole I was able to grab a log of the failure.
I interpret this as a mce error which triggers kernel panic in chain.

I did further tests (cf. Message #15
(https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=710852#15)).
Result:
(1) the USB Ethernet adapter works with a 3.8.8 kernel
(2) it does not work on kernels 3.10.33 (compiled myself) and
3.11-2-amd64 (latest LMDE kernel)
