Given a freeze in June 2012, we will have a choice between these Linux
releases (with estimated dates):
3.2 (December 2011)
3.3 (March 2012)
3.4 (May/June 2012)
Some other distributions with long-term support will be using:
Oracle Linux 6: 2.6.32+ (RHEL-compatible), 2.6.39 (UEK)
RHEL 6:
It's fairly obvious that the default module lists for Linux should be
moved to the linux-2.6 source package. We can do that right now and use
relative paths to include them in the per-architecture/flavour lists.
However the #include syntax would then be unused. It
seems like it would be better t

The loopback is not only suitable for installing on a windows FS.
I use it to put an ext3 image on a vfat sd card in my Wii, since
homebrew apps are only able to handle vfat. So I'm not forced to change
the sdcard or partition it.
