Yes, I contacted sta...@kernel.org regarding bug number 550898. But
this situation is a little bit different. With 550898, IBM wrote

Hullo,
I have tried advice found on the web about similar problems with Acer

Hi,
It seems the issues is linked to a loss of connection with the ldap server.
I can get the process working back after a connection failure with the ldap
serversince I use unscd in replacement of nscd.

'reopen' may be inappropriate when a bug has been closed with a version;
you may need to use 'found' to remove fixed versions.

Hello,
I've noticed the same strange load calculation inconsistency while
running kernel 2.6.32-30. Load values are reported too low for given CPU
utilization. As far as I remember older kernels from 2.6.32 line had
also the same problem. I did some tests on the same hardware using
2.6.26-26lenny2
Contrary to my earlier conclusion, the upgrade did not delete
older images. It appears a ramdisk generation change may have
included a bad module whose loading crashed the system later.
I could not boot other images because my Grub 2 configuration file
grub.cfg missed the corresponding "initrd"

I made a few tests on this report and I found that the loader is not
