I have this problem on a Dell XPS M1330. For some strange reason it is
interfering with my trackpad, it freezes at regular intervals. When i

I got the same problem.
I switched "AGP Frame buffer size" option in BIOS to use more than 16Mb
of memory.
After that i can boot to os setup with "noapic" kernel option.
