I tried to reproduce the bug under my 2.6.22 but could not do so - I
suspect that there was a faulty block on the pendrive which got re-routed.
I would close the bug with "not reproducible, transient HW error, invalid".

I have been told to try the lastest kernel from the ubuntu
guys, so I did.
Everything has unfailed with 2.6.23 built with the
debian-etch's 2.6.18 .config and this command-line:
make-kpkg --append-to-version "-trial" --initrd buildpackage --config
menuconfig

Yeap, 2.6.8 was good. Sata working great on RHEL4 with 2.6.8
On 2.6.23.9 - seems to work good on seagates with 1.5 gbps jumper
setted. But some drives also work without these errors and witho
