I don't see this as feature. My opinion is: this is a matter of bad
behavior.
Providing packages that have unresolved / unresolvable dependencies is some
kind of terrorism to the users. And it is stupid at all.

Since the above mentioned commit is in 2.6.23, are we going to see
linux-image-686-pae series kernel packages now ?
It would be great to have -pae separate from -bigmem.

AFAIK grub does not support LVM on top of md raid1 whereas lilo does?
