Package: linux-image-2.6.18-4-k7 Followup-For: Bug #420263 Now the rootfs died entirely, it seems as if something went wrong during the upgrade from stable (Sarge) to testing (Etch). I reinstalled using stable (Etch) and the problem has not yet popped up again. Sorry for the inconvenience... :-
