Sorry that I've ignored the last answers to the bug but I somehow missed
the mail.
First of all,.. there is still no other solution than iommu=soft (at
least as of my knowledge) and we had even someone on the bugreport at
bugzilla.kernel.org who claimed that _only_ iommu=soft helped, but not

And just for completeness, I want to add that the patch works nicely. drbd8
and ocfs2 can be used together with no visible side-effects.
If anybody of the kernel team has time to add this, it would help admins
trying to create highly available file systems.

I've launched a command to remove a massive amount of file on an usb
disk. Roughly speaking ~20 files for ~ 10Gb of data.
The command worked fine for several minutes, but now the rm process is
stuck:
