Package: kernel-image-2.6.9-1-686
Version: 2.6.9-3
Severity: minor
The description for the 686 kernel says it is for the "PIV" or
"Pentium IV". This chip is actually the "P4" or "Pentium 4",
because Intel failed to follow the naming convention they
established with the PII and PIII.

Hi,
May be I'm wrong, but I think you can not load iptables modules once
you have already loaded the ipfwadm one (saw it in your lsmod).

There should be a way to have the current kernel's "vmlinux" file, for
example, to be able to debug the current kernel. I think it should be
included in the corresponding kernel-image-* files.
Thank you,

Package: kernel-image-2.6.8
Version: ryt1.0
Severity: normal
After Compiling and using kernel 2.6.8 can't mount SMB partitions nor
net SMB shares.
kernel debugs I/O fail...
The same occours with kernel-2.4.27.
With 2.4.22 (my old kernel) there is no problem.
All kernels was compiled for Athlon:

Hi!
I get the same problem with the 2.6.8-9-amd64-k8 and 2.6.9-1-k7
kernel. In my case I have this problem on an Athlon64 box with an
NForce3 mobo and SATA discs running grub.
I havent tried any 2.6 kernel from debian yet since it is an knoppix
install but the knoppix kernels (2.6.7 and 2.4.27
