Hi there.
This is a known problem with the flash plugin (http://www.ltsp.org/ for
more informatin - they were understandably very unhappy about it).
Apparently the latest beta version of Flash 6.0 for Linux doesn't have
this problem. This version
he told me - I suggested this very same idea to him
some months ago and he informs me that it is now completed!).

Another solution which worked for me was to rename knotify to knotify.bak.
I know that's an ugly hack, but it did work for me.
And I might add that it made no noticeable difference to KDE whatsoever,
so I am led to wonder what on earth knotify is for, anyway?!
