I just upgraded Woody to KDE 3.0.5. Now, when I try to build from sources
at: http://people.debian.org/~njordan , I get a compile error of:
/usr/lib/libfam.la no such file.
How does libfam.la get generated? I think fam.pkg provides the libfam
library, but not libfam.la.
Any help?
Thanks

What has happened to ftp.kde.org? I noticed it has been down for the last
couple of days. It is a main source in my Knoppix distribution.

Can we just do an 'apt-get upgrade' from KDE 3.05a, with your new debs?

Hi,
KDevelop complains about not being able to find HtDig.conf when trying to
index the Qt and KDE libraries. HtDig has been installed from the Debian
packages and the .conf file is in /etc. Any ideas? Possibly rebuilding
HtDig?

I have upgraded my Debian (testing) installation from KDE 3.05 to 3.1,
following the README on:
http://www.ktown.kde.org/~nolden/kde
with 99% success, and almost bloodless. However, I have been unable to
install kdesdk and kdelibs4-dev due to the following unsatisfied
dependencies:
libasound2 (
After installing kdevelop and ht-dig, both with apt-get, kdevelop now tells
me that it can't find the ht-dig.conf file, but it is in /etc where it
should be. Any ideas?

Does Debian, or KDE, have an application similar to Mandrake's DiskDrake, or

The most common problem occurs when indexing is attempted. The rewponse is
"htdig.conf cannot be found", even though the .conf file exists in /etc.
