Upgrade from kde 3.0.4 to 3.1 rc5 on unstable? help!

Hi well i am wondering what is the process to upgrade to kde 3.1 since i did an apt-get upgrade and it messed up my qt packages and now everything in kde 3.0.4 crashes. Please help! thanks.
