kdm: can't execute "XBINDIR/xrdb"

there seems to be a bug in kdm preventing it from reading /etc/X11/kdm/Xresources* : kdm[1965]: can't execute "XBINDIR/xrdb" (err 2) my system: Debian woody linux 2.2.18 kdm 2.1.0-0.potato3 xfree86-common 4.0.2-1 xserver-svga 3.3.6-31 on another system at work with debian potato and pure Xfree

artsd network question

I would like to have my sound clients (xmms, noatun) on my laptop output their sound over the network to an arts daemon running on my desktop computer. I suppose I have to configure the hostname/TCP port of the server somewhere on the client, but where? Also, do I need to run an artsd also on the

is there a debian package for using the mozilla rendering engine (gecko) in Konqueror? I think ist was formerly called kmozilla but it seems not to exist anymore. Radu

KDE2 Style under KDE3

I upgraded my woody System to KDE3, but I don't like the new default style. I think it has too many "sharp edges" ;-) So I am looking for the default KDE Style packaged for KDE3... is there such a thing? Radu

EXIF metainfo in kuickshow

I am trying to display images shot with a digital camera in kuickshow. I have debian woody istalled on my laptop and sid on a desktop pc. With sid, the images are displayed correctly oriented, i.e. kuickshow honors the orientation bit of the EXIF information inside the image. With woody, it does
