Fetchmail works OK then use the mail client of your choice (eg Mutt, Pine
Kmail etc) but it is a bit kludgy in that it uses IMAP like POP3 ie it pulls
the messages off the server and downloads them locally.

Whats the recommended way of intsalling self compiled KDE apps ?
Ivans KDE release goes in /usr and most things I compile myself I
would put in /usr/local however with KDE this doesnt work too well and
I end up having to symlink them to /usr/bin or whatever.

I am using Kmail from KDE 3.1 on Woody against our MS exchange server via
IMAP. There does not seem to be a way to choose which IMAP folders to
subscribe too. If I say display all folders I get problems with Kmail trying
to access the public folders for parts of our organistation I dont have

I am using the Ktown KDE 3.1.1 debs and cant seem to find the control center
applet for configuring the VNC compatable desktop sharing. All the screen
shots I have seen indicate it should be in the Network section but its not.
Have I missed a package I should have installed ?
