get takes the package from qt1apps for the newer one! I now downloaded
and installed it manually. (May be the "4:" in front of the version
number?) For the time being I removed qt1apps from the KDE entry in
sources.list.

Hi,
I just installed the last uploaded version of KDE2.
- The umlauts are -- again -- incorrect.
- The KDE logo in the help files -- still -- doesn't show up because of
incorrect links "common -> ../comon"
Nevertheless: Thanks for your work!!

Hi,
in Konsole, the menu entry "Options->Keyboard" is preset with
"xterm (XFree 4.xx)".
Could you change this for Potato to XFree 3.xx? (I wondered, why some
keys behaved strange...)

As for kmenuedit: There is a known, but yet unfixed bug you can ship
around, so we should be patient:

e, when sending a URL to Netscape, I get a new

By the way...
A bug of this kind has been reported to be fixed on Fri, 12 Jan 2001

Perhaps it reappeared (not necessarily in the Debian packaging

Any hint?
Where can I find any possible error messages? (didn't find any in

I attach my .xsession-errors (like chinese for me) -- perhaps some

I attach an excerpt from /var/log/daemon.log. Perhaps you can
understand what happens there... :-}

Thanks a lot to Munich and Hamburg :-), I've learned a lot.
I now created a KTelnet2 session for localhost with SSH. That works
fine. (With OpenSSH you will have to enable root login)
