Fonts in logon dialog box

2001-03-26 Thread BROWN Nick
On my Sony Vaio PCG-C1VE with a strange display size (1024x480), the fonts all looked horrible (scaled) until I "restated" them. For example, I changed "Helvetica 11" to "Helvetica 11" and it now looks fine. I imagine this is due to the font path being searched in some strange order ?! Anyway, t

RE: printer not in printer-options

I have the same problem, plus another lprng issue. Printer is a networked PS printer, so printcap contains rm=PRINTERNAME, rp=PORT1. 1. Installed lpr (not lprng). # lpr a.ps - works kword - sees the printer, but nothing comes out. 2. Installed lprng # lpr a.ps - error messages complaining abo

Please ignore this, I found it (used "Virtual" in the Display section). If only I had time to use X and KDE professionally, instead of fighting Windoze all day at work and scraping time together for Debian. Sigh. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Tr
