How does Konqueror detect flash versions?

I am having endless problems running flash (in particular BBC IPlayer). I have the normal flashplayer-plugin installed from sid (from a few weeks ago) and as I recall that installed flash player 10 (.? I do not remember). The IPlayer page I hit this morning gave some more information, it said:- T
