I use a free pop email service and am finding that this address is continually bombarded by swen virus spam because the debian servers do not munge addresses. Is this going to be implemented anytime soon? My pop server only has a 6mb limit and since I leave messages on the server for pseudo-IMA

kppp problem

Hi all, I've following problem: I'm using kppp to connect to internet. It works perfectly when logged as root. But when I'm logged in as normal user, pppd dies with exit status 16 (modem hanged up) when checking username and password. I suppose, there's some problem with access permissions, but I'

kde menu - software entries

Hello, I cleaned up my kde menu a few days ago but I was too good ;-) now several entries like Office (OO+Koffice) dissappeared totaly. How do I obtain these entries again? Adding own subfolders and inserting packages with the appropriate command? or is there a more "sophisticated" way? I thi

Hi, I have an up to date woody with kde 3.1.0 (is there a newer one for woody, where would I get it?). With the last security update I continue to have truetype fonts available for kde applications, but no longer for non kde applications (like mozilla). Indeed, xlsfonts doesn't show any truetype

Thanks for that but I haven't had problems deleting the messages since KMail has some POP3 filters that provide for this. The thing is, I do not have access to a machine that can run 24/7 and delete them for me, either through something like this or spamassasin or through mail client filtering.

Again, as mentioned by many people, if you don't want Spam, use and ISP service that provides Spam blocking.. If you can't use an ISP with that service, buy a POP address from any of the ISP's that sell just POP mailboxes with full Anti-Spam features.. (Usually about $5/month) This is an issue

Any way to get a spam filter into kmail like Thunderbird has? I have tried Spam Assassin, but it takes forever to download mail. Thunderbird does this much quicker. Is there something else out there that I can use other than Spam Assassin in kmail? Thanks!
