I can't get ripping to work, it says complains that "libcdda_paranoia" is not
available.
I have paranoia installed and ripping works in arson.
Also I can only rip to wave files, it won't encode them to ogg.
I'm keen on this app since it looks better than arson.

Just a followup, I did manage to build a deb out of gift and added it to my
repository. apt-get update and apt-get install kdegift should bring it in.
Please make sure you have no old gift's built from source, if so remove them,
then run giFT-setup
mMmm... ok now kdegift runs, and gift runs... but then, kdegift shows
constantly a "deamon sync status" or something like that... a number that
grows and grows... while my cpu goes to 100% and my hard disc gets red hot...
and this behaviour doesn't seem to stop!
