KDE 3 VERY VERY slow after qt upgrade

I'm using kde 3.0.1 debs on a powerpc. This morning I've done an apt-get upgrade that has updated qt libraries. Now I'm experimenting an incredible slowlyness when opening kde apps and on operation like opening a menu or a new window. I've noticed that kdeinit consumes a lot of cpu (90/95%) for 1
