Xinerama not recognized by KDE

Hi, I'm using woody with KDE 2.2.2. I have configured XFree86 Version 4.1.0.1 to work with two Graphiccards in "Xinerama-Mode". After installing the latest kdelibs3 with apt-get I tried to use it with KDE but unfortunately it didn't Work. After starting kdm I have the login Window on one Monitor

Menu items

OK, this seems like a simple question but I can't find it addressed anywhere in the documentation. Is there any way to add a ment item to the KMenu besides using the cumbersome KMenuEditor? I can drag a file from the file manager to kicker but I can't figure out any way to drag it to the menu.
