I have two Creative PCI 128 cards in my box, yet kmix shows 6 tabs. Two of
them are real mixer tabs and the others just say:
Invalid mixer "Ensoniq ES1371" (two of them)
Invalid mixer "Unknown" (the other)
Does anyone know what's up?

I have similar problems. I have three invalid mixers, one is called
'Creative SBLive', one 'TriTech (3)' and the third 'TriTech TR28023'.
The real mixer is cal
Almost everything in kde have the version 2.2.1 with a few exception,
like kmail that have the 2.1.1 version. Where is the 2.2.1?

Is there a way of changing the browser that is automatically launched
when one clicks on a url from Konqueror to Opera? I'm using Kmail 1.2
on KDE 2.1.2.
Thanks,

Hi
I have a Woody system, updated daily, and at some point a week or so ago
KNode stopped starting up. I can sometimes get it running from the
commandline (as opposed to the menu) but it loses all its settings. This
evening I can't get it running at all.
All the other applications - KMail/KOff

I am using a current Debian/Sid. With or without "anti-aliasing fonts

click "choose" in that category of the control center->look and feel->fonts,
the screen garbles up, and will not allow me to do anything from the con

The latest set of errors are below, I've been getting the cannot connect to X
server error intermittently since I did an update about 2 weeks ago that
pulled in some xserver stuff. Howe

Hi,
I have problems with KGhostscript: it shows the amount of pages correctly on
the left but never shows the actual pages. I can scroll up and down, but the
cursor remains as a watch infinitely. Other tools like 'gs' or 'qtcups', on
the other hand work ok.
KGhostscript has worked before but a

why would it be that my user can do things if I start kde with startx and not
if I start it via kd

When other people responded to my posting concerning system usage, I knew it
was a possible issue. Specifically, it is the fact that gkrellm shows an
average of 50% CPU usage when KDE is running, and about 3% when Blackbox is
running which seems to indicate that something about XFree86 is sucki
