Hello.
Since I set up a (terminal-) server for testing, there are really strange
problems with X (or maybe the kernel). I'm using sid on this system in order
to experiment with the newest features and kernel 2.4.10, the thin clients
use a nfs-rooted stripped down debian image (sid, kernel 2.4.12

The KLyX package you are trying to install was built for KDE 1.x, hence
your problems. I don't think there is a KDE 2.x package available, but I
could be wrong.
Ben.
Oliver, I believe that you have it exactly.
I came to grief with similar overwrite problems. There are a number
of them in the upgrade, including between kdelibs3 and konqueror.
Your analysis that the problem arises from a different location of
files between versions 2.1.x and 2.2.1 is bolstere
I recently ran "apt-get upgrade" and it completely hosed my xfree86 server.
After poking around for hours, it turns out that there was a hodge-podge mix

Hi,
I removed the line use-ssh-agent from my Xsession.options file and now KDM
works, it's not a fix but as a workaround it works.

True, but
Where can I get these totally cool transparent term windows?
Is there a simple one out there some place?
konsole has built in transparency support, just click through the options
and you'll find it there, it's under the font options, or you can custom
configure your own setting.

I'm confused.
When I download a theme from kde.classic.themes.org it stores it as a
tar in /tmp.
But I can't untar it or anything else useful with it.
It was trying to run 'ark' every download, but that was failing like
crazy (and I didn't know I even had it in here.).
So I removed ark ( no appa

Hi ppl,
I've just experienced a very weird configuration crash. I have no idea why it
happened, and no I haven't looked in the configuration code in kdebase very
closely. :)
First, there appears to be no filesystem corruption. It _may_ be due to

Hello:
I am recently having problem of mirroring (rsync-ing) KDE
into my site, http://sapi.vlsm.org
I have checked these following sites, but I could not get

Thank you for any clue.
