Hi,
...when I first installed KDE 4.1 in SID from experimental repository, I was
able to drag a full-screen window from my XINERAMA SCREEN1 to my SCREEN2. This
was a handy feature, since new windows are always created on SCREEN1
(notebook), but
thanks, putting xinerama option in ServerFlags did the job.
Now, my next question is: must I restart x server to enable xinerama ? Is
there a friendly way to hotplug an external screen (or video) ?

First of all, is kde compilled in debian with the -xinerama option ? Is there
a tool in kde to configure on the fly the layout of the xorg screens ?
If any body has such a working setup, could he send me its configuratios

Hi,
I compiled Xorg 6.8.2. and played around a little bit with xcompmgr and
transset. My goal is to let my system run with KDE 3.4, drop shadows,
translucency, and xinerama (I am using Debian sarge). Unfortunately, I found
out that xcompmgr and xinerama don't seem to like each other;

Hello,
I've setup my Computer with Xinerama and found an option in kde Control
Center (Desktop -> Window Behavior -> Advanced) "Enable Xinerama support"
but i cant enable it (it's gray). Anybody knows what i can do to get this

Hi,
since I use xinerama with two screens, "log out -> log in as different
user" doesn't work. After logging out, kdm just doesn't come up. I only
see the typical X-Mouse-Cross and the grey background. The first login
works.

Hi,
I'm using Ralf Nolden's KDE3.1 Debs and Xinerama. When I
set a Wallpaper, the Wallpaper is spread across my two screens. So it
looks very ugly. But I want the Wallpaper to be shown on each screen on
it's own.
Is this possible?
Thanks!

Hi,
I wonder, whether xinerama support is enabled in Ralf's packages for woody. It
is displayed grey in "control center/desktop/window behaviour/advanced". If I
start my laptop with xinerama and an external screen under kde (which works
just fine under other window managers)

Problem: Dual Head setup using Xinerama.
Additional system specs:
Dell Precision 420
Dual P3 1Ghz
1G Ram
ATI Radeon 7500 (2x 1600x1200)
So, I upgrade to kde3.0.3 using the kd3.org link and restart kdm.
When I login, things seem to start up but the kicker quickly stops

I'm using woody with KDE 2.2.2. I have configured XFree86 Version
4.1.0.1 to work with two Graphiccards in "Xinerama-Mode". After
installing the latest kdelibs3 with apt-get I tried to use it with KDE

Hoi!
There have been several threads in the past about kde and xinerama, mostly
dealing with compiling kdelibs with xinerama support. Before I start
compiling new kdelibs for myself I just want to ask if somebody has done
this already for kdelibs3 2.2.2-5. And BTW how do I recognize, that the
A few small queries relating to KDE:
Firstly, I've finally got Xinerama support compiled in and it seems to be
working - I can maximise and it only maximises to one screen, not both, and
new windows tend not to overlap the border (although dialog boxes still do).
However, I can't fin
