Just for the records, I went through many steps including : _fiddling with consolekit, learned a lot but no result regarding kdm. _purging a lot of stuff before reinstalling it, including all kde (I mean all, every inch of it...). _rebuilding my entire xorg.conf, emptying it, etc... _moving all ~/

Hi all, I upgraded my testing box from kde3 to kde4 few days ago, all is now working pretty well but I can't use kdm to log in my kde session. If I install gdm and configure it as the default I have no problem logging in my kde session though (a minimal gnome is also installed on the system, as a
