I'd like to ask something so I either open a bug or investigate more in
my system (or in case that anyone knows more, if someone has fixed it).
I use LXDE with some KDE applications. Some applications such as
korganizer, kmix, akregator: in the task bar I have a generic LXDE icon

show on my phone but not on my desktop.
Yesterday, I tried to reconnect with them by reconfiguring the
connection (KOrganizer | Calendars | Configure) which seems to work -
I got all the messages I'd expect (both directly and via e-mail)

decides randomly to print my list in landscape mode instead of portrait mode,
but not every time. I find this annoying, so I look for settings I can

If I leave KOrganizer running when exiting KDE, it is restarted by
session management, when I start KDE the next time. But, for some
reason, it always opens on the first desktop and with an empty
calendar.

Yo,
just downloaded korganizer from http://www.wh9.tu-dresden.de (manually, apt
source seems broken) which has a dependency on libkcal. But actually it needs
libkcal.so.2 whereas in the libkcal package (from the same mirror) has a file
named libkcal.so.2.0.0. Symlinking doesn't work -

here's one more problem I have after changing to kde3.
I use korganizer as my calendar and heavily relay on it's alarms. But
after changing to kde3 there are no more alarms coming from
korganizer.
Additional information:
At the beginning of every kde session I now get the warning

When I tried "ps -A | grep korganizer" the only process reported was
korganizer itself, no sign of a separate daemon process with that name on my
machine but it still worked.

OK. It is working now. I took your suggestion. I also clicked
"file->save" and "file->make active". In addition, I discovered
another alarm daemon running from a stray attempt at getting evolution
calendar working when I could not get korganizer working. I don
xmms-arts, so I
can't say for certain ;-), I definetly got the pop-up "YOU HAVE A MEETING"
window. As I seem to be the third person confiming this "works for me", I
would suggest looking into a dpkg --purge of the korganizer package, rm'ing
your config file in .kd
as
if it may not be functional?
Perhaps I am missing a package?
