It is only difficult to locate the lock directory that has to
be emptied that is:
~/.kde/share/apps/kabc/lock/

I can't edit my kde addressbook after updating to 3.2.1 and 3.2.2. Any
program (including kmail and kaddressbook) trying to access the standard
addressbook fails to modify it. For example, kmail fails with:
kmail: ERROR: The resource '_home_da209_.kde_share_apps_kabc_std.vcf' is
locked
