try an update. I don't think either of us are doing anything wrong, but the problem would seem to be a packaging error in CUPS. Probably one of the packages is missing an apropos "Provides" line. file: No such file or directory A recent system update I made must have screwed it up. I made a temporary fix by symbolically linking libpcre.so.3 to libpcreposix.so.3.
