Installing kde3 on top of kde2 is quite easy with the unofficial debs, but
what should I do to install kde3 from scratch on a new machine?
Obviously I still need to install kdm from kde2, and then the kde3-debs. My
problem is now that I don't have a clue how to add a "kde" session to the
option
Does anybody know any place to download kbiff as a ready .deb?

I played around with my roots .profile and .bashrc-files a little bit, but
some software didn't like so I "normalized" them again.
Unfortunately Kpackage still compalins the following when I install a
package:

dpkg: `ldconfig' not found on PATH.
dpkg: `start-stop-daemon' not found on P
Under KDE you can run both gnome-apt and kpackage, but neither is really that
good. It would be really nice if there were software which has many ways of
browsing/searching the available packages, and which would handle the
installation of the as well as if you were using apt-get. The best

I installed Debian on one of my hard disks and I found it be great, though
the process of installation was difficult compared with SuSE, which I use now
(debian should really have something like sax2 for configuring X)
Anyway, I am moving old my home directory to the new installation, an
