Excuse me if the answer is written down somewhere but I haven't been able to
find it.
bugs.debian.org only has the versions in unstable i.e.

If it's a feature, it's a really strange feature, isn't it? I
suppose Acrobat Reader for Unix/X11 does not undergo a lot of
testing :-(.
