That method has improved performance for me. However by default, Debian
deletes the contents of the /tmp directory on reboot. Thus, the .ICE-unix and
all of the mcop and dcop directories need to be recreated each time you start
your machine up from scratch. But once these things have been set up

Are you trying to access the shortcuts from the Preferences menu? If
so, you won't be able to as there is a bug in the menu structure. Did
you try using the KDE Control Center?

You cannot drag those icons from your ~/.kde/share/applnk directory
because the KMenu icons are actually stored in more than one place.
Some are in /etc, others are in /var. But you don't need to use
Konqueror to create shortcuts to menu items. Just simply navigate in

You could also put it in your ~/.kde/Autostart directory

Choose Settings|Font|Custom then pick whichever of your favorite fonts you'd
like to use. Make sure to save your settings before closing the Konsole

I'd like to be able to make an applnk or a command alias which would allow me

this possible?
Make sure that you have XFree86 4.2 installed if you want
antialiasing.

Try it with some other images and if it's still messing up file a report.

It seems every email program has this feature, does KMail?
Of course, I may have not poked around sufficiently...
In case you don't remember that CLI way, you can also simply look at the .deb

You can change the font used underneath the clock.
Simply right-click on it and choose Configure Clock (or Clock Preferences).
Then click over to the General tab. Then click on the Choose Font button.

I am able to connect with Libranet's LPPP app as well as wvdial so there isn't

You need more RAM than that to effectively run KDE. Unfortunately, the
majority of developers have decided to focus on features before speed.
Perhaps if you ran a lighter-weight window manager such as xfce or
