Keyboard works for login in kdm as well
as on console (ctrl+alt+F1). In KDE no
keyboard input is available, just mouse.
I attached some logs, in which I couldn't
find anything that would point me in the
right direction.
Any ideas?

some weeks ago my Handspring Visor stopped syncing with KPilot. I assume
it happend, when I switched to newer udev which kicked out hotplug from
my Debian testing. I hoped the next update would fix it, but it didn't
up to today.
Whenever I press the hotsync-button Kpilot shows 30%

I recently upgaded kernel to 2.6.17 on my notebook to be able to upgrade
udev from testing. I could upgrade udev alright but ran into another issue.
Since upgrading the kernel kded shows the volumen window (see
attachment) permanently and on top of all other windows. The reason for
