I just uploaded a new version of kdepim to alioth including updates from the
SVN 3.5 branch up to Friday. This should fix the kmail issues with filtering

metapackages would have to list the packages from kdeedu individually
to split them appropriately.

I'd appreciate it if somebody who had KBackgammon version 2.2.2 crash
on startup, could check if the problem still exists in the 3.1.0
packages. I was personally never able to reproduce the bug, but I got
similar reports from several people.

Just a brief update: it seems kdelibs won't compile with the current
g++-3.2.1 (this was already reported under GCC PR #7734, if you're
interested). I'll have to put this project on hold for a while, at
least until that bug gets fixed.

about half an hour of browsing the source code, I couldn't even find
where the dlopen of libssl was happening.) I will be sure to put it
on my todo list, though.

Since Qt is _not_ lgpl'd, and kio_http and kcm_crypto do link against
both Qt and libssl, I think it does matter.

because of this, the kdelibs packages should have SSL support

Try installing libsdl1.2debian-oss in place of libsdl1.2debian-all.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I'd rather not
have to go through and force apt to upgrade each package with 'apt-get
