I'm trying to sort though a minor problem of a non-kde app that features some
'buttons' to launch a web browser taking you to various sites relating to
this app. Clicking these buttons does nothing. I'm told that this app uses
the mime.type and/or mailcap files to determine the browser to use.
I've been trying to pin this down a little better, but it's intermittent
nature makes it hard to draw any conclusions. Running Sarge with the latest

I've tried adding a couple new fonts via the fontinstaller in the control
center, both as a user, and as root. In both cases the fonts install
are are useable, but after logging off and back in, those fonts are no

Actaully, when I log OFF as root. Logging in and running in KDE
as root is fine...everything works a-ok. But when root logs off, the system

I've experimented a bit with setting up a filter in Kmail that executes a
script which calls the f-prot virus scanner. The script launches
the xmessage program and pops up a window with sender and subject info
displayed as well as the virus information, if f-prot returns an exit code
