I don't think the reason why one would choose Debian was ever to have
always the latest packages without any hassle
You choose Debian because it is 1337 :))

Iam trying now since some time to compile KDE3 on my
woody system . The last thing i tried was the CVS

I have managed to get KDE 2.2.1 installed - after
downloading some packages from unstable . Kde starts
up jus fine now . The thing is - no KDE programs seem

Ok i managed to install kdelibs3 - but i had to
uninstall kdebase and kdebase-dev . and those i cannot
install anymore now either . It is actually exactly
the other way around now - before it said that it cant
install kdelibs3 because of kdebase and now it says it

Prolly someone asked this question already - then
please just give me a link to the thread but i have
major problems upgrading my woody box . It seems as if
the kdelibs3 doesnt install and i cannot do anything
about it - i tried to force it but it always gives me
an error ( Error C
I have made the experience that it said in testing
that there is no installation candidate . In this case
- just download libssl0.9.6 , kdelibs3-crypto and
kdebase-crypto from the debian package site and
install it in the same order . Should work then .

debian box . Iam running testing with kde 2.1.2 . so i
jus added some unstable sources to my sources.list and
installed evolution . Then i installed everything i
could find with ximian and everything apt did find
