nary arithmetic to understand umasks. google should
provide pages with detailed explanations of this.

Create a system that is usable even by idiots, and only idiots will use it.
hat is).
mmm, if you never log in at the same time, you could go for rsync'ing
directories (or files) that you want the same before login/after
logout. i think it can work if you do it right (i.e., taking care of
only syncinc from newer files to older, etc.)

After applying, xset q | grep DPMS should answer Disabled. If not, try

There may be no I in TEAM, but a M and an E.
xscreensaver-gl
kscreensaver provides only a few screensavers itself (/usr/bin/*.kss).
The vast majority are provided by the xcreensaver & xcreensaver-gl
packages.

The Wright Brothers weren't the first to fly.
t; Where did that come from?
The Debian menu system (menu package + files provided by each
package). Debian's KDE used to support it by default, now you need to
apt-get install menu-xdg for it to work again.

I'd say so. Can you create a new user account and see if it happens
to him? [This is generally a good first step when troubleshooting
any KDE problem.]
