Blast it all, digging like a tick in the www.k3b.org mailing lists did find it, "remove ~/.k3b/share/config/k3brc" Sure enough, now the project window is showing up as a part of the main k3b window, just like the screenshots. Hope this can help the next person with this problem. Curt- -- S

I first repartitioned the drive as ext2 and tested it and it worked fine the first time it was plugged in mounted as the correct user and group.but failed the second getting mounted root:root I then converted back to FAT32 and again it worked the first time. I unmounted it, removed it, plugged
